Disney Day 1

We made it to Orlando!!! We drove through the night, leaving Saturday around 10pm, and arriving in Orlando a little after 5am on Sunday morning. We got checked into our hotel around 6am and then took some super long naps - all 3 of us :)

Lauren was an angel in the car. It was the smartest idea we've ever had as far as traveling with her. She slept the entire 8 hours so it was perfect. We were of course super tired but I'll do anything to avoid numerous meltdowns in the car.

After our long naps, we drove over to Downtown Disney to eat at T-Rex restaurant. Lauren actually really liked the dinosaurs which really surprised me. She was afraid of them once they started moving and making sounds but she talked about them non-stop. I think T-Rex is a new restaurant owned by The Rainforest Cafe folks. It's the same type atmosphere. It was really good, pricey but good.

We then went to a Disney souvenir store and spent forever looking at everything they had! Lauren decided she wanted 4 Flounder stuffed animals :) She even carried them all at once. It was quite the chore distracting her and trying to put up all of the toys. She didn't come out empty handed though. We bought her a cute little Minnie Mouse stuffed animal that was dressed in beautiful Christmas attire. We also picked up our Christmas ornament that it a tradition of ours. We always buy ornaments on our travels.

I forgot my camera cord so phone pictures will have to do until we get home.

We rode the carousel at Downtown Disney. Of course Lauren loved that. I know there is one at Magic Kingdom that is essentially free since it's included in your ticket price but we couldn't say no to our sweet little girl. She sure does love to ride the "horsies" and "naaaaaahs"

We also found some yummy Popcorn. Lauren NEVER asks to eat, e.v.e.r. She was reclining in her stroller and sat up and said "Eat, Eat, Eat" so we found the closest thing we could find without standing in crazy lines. She was happy to have her popcorn. It was so sweet. She wouldn't let go of the bag :)
