Prune Juice

Prune Juice....We all know what that's for - to clean you out! Poor "litte squirt" needs a good cleaning out to say the least. After Lauren cried from noon yesterday to 2 am this morning almost all day, no naps, I knew something was wrong. Shes been crying so much lately, making for super long days, especially when I'm alone with her. But now we know why - poor baby needs to potty. Her doc could actually feel the poop in her tummy! So off we go to mixing prune juice with milk and for better sleeping! Oh yes, she now weighs 9 lbs 8 oz!!

Every now & then we find Belle is weird positions on the couch. She often copies our cat Bailey & what he does, therefore, she thinks she can get on top of the couch to lounge too.

Such a sweet face. She'll kill me one day as it's a bad angle with the double chin - but I love it so much I could just kiss that sweet face - too bad she's napping!

And who did she smile at first?!?! DAD of course! It was so sweet. As we were making our way out the door this morning, she had the biggest grin on her face. They were just talking to each other & she couldn't stop smiling - she even gave me enough time to find the camera & snap a few shots!

Mommy's 6 week OB Checkup

Meet the best doctor in the entire world - Dr. Brody! We are going to miss them!

Not only does Lauren have to visit the doctor, but so do I. I had my 6 week check up with my OB this morning. You'd think I'd be sick of having to take off clothes going to the doctor but I actually missed them - NOT the taking off your clothes part, but just missed them in general. We were so used to seeing this awesome group every week and today was our last visit. Dr. Brody even joked that I could actually bring Lauren by to visit again and not have to take off my clothes, we could just visit instead of having exams done, haha!

Well, she had the cutest onesie and burp cloths with girly airplanes on them. I emailed her & asked where she got them & she told me her sister-in-law made them. Well, her sister-in-law is fabulous & is making a set for Lauren. I told her that she should go in business & she is! I highly recommend using her for anything you want done. It's the cutest stuff!

Lauren is doing so well. She now weights 8 pounds 9 ounces and is 21.5 inches long. I couldn't believe the scale! She's gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks! Based on a height/weight calculator, she is in the 20% percentile for weight & the 38th percentile for height. Our pediatrician's wife just had a baby girl at 9 pounds 1 ounce so she has catching up to do! But mommy and daddy love their little tiny hiney and have told Lauren over and over to not grow up too fast :o)

Bailey and Belle sure do love Lauren. Bailey doesnt quite know what to think but he likes to sniff at her and check her out! Belle, on the other hand, loves to sit with Lauren, lay with her, sniff her, and lay by her swing and bouncy sit. She doesnt lick her or anything like that so she's a good big sister!

Despite the look on Belle's face, she loved it in the snow and has begged and scratched at the door to go out constantly since this morning!

Lauren and I woke up today, 12.1.08, to snow! We made our way out of the bedroom at 7am this morning to find a pretty white yard. After I fed Lauren, Belle and I went out for her potty time - you would think Belle is from the north. She didnt want to come inside!

We had our first Thanksgiving with family at our house. We had 15 people come to meet baby Lauren and enjoy Thanksgiving lunch! Lots of miles were driven and we were so thankful everyone wanted to make the trip to visit with us! Enjoy the photos!

Lauren had her first bath tonight - don't worry, shes been bathed these past 2.5 weeks but this was her first bath in her baby tub and not just a sponge bath. My mom is in town visiting this weekend so she helped bathe our little beauty. Todd had to fly to Florida so he missed out on the fun!
