My Little Girl Is 3!

My best little buddy turned 3 on October 29. Her birthday fell on a Saturday so it worked perfect to host her birthday party on her actual birthday. Just like last year, we hired the petting zoo to come to our house. Lauren loves animals and we have the perfect spot for such a fun outdoor party. I'm so glad she was born in the fall. We couldn't ask for better weather.

I bought one of those Living Social deals online for the cupcakes. We have a great cupcake place in town that has mini cupcakes. They were the perfect size for the party. I ordered pigs, sheep, chickens, and fall themed cupcakes. 

The highlight of the petting zoo for Lauren is the pony......and the chickens :)

She rode the pony for a good 20 minutes before people arrived to the party. The petting zoo folks come early to set up so she had her own private ride. She looks so serious as she rides but she loves it and claims that is "her pony."

Meet Jasmine, the llama. The llama usually always comes with the petting zoo. She's super sweet and is very cooperative with the kids.

She may be cooperative with the kids but Jasmine decided to sneeze right on me. I was a little taken back by the amount of "air" that came out of her nose in my direction.

Lauren's love of chickens continues. My girl is not afraid to hold any animal. I love that about her! She also loved holding the bunnies this year too.

We are so happy to have such a sweet and healthy little girl. Her 3rd birthday was a success and she loved celebrating with her little friends. Most were from her preschool and she was so excited they all came to her house to play. We are excited to move on to age 3 and don't want to wish the days away. Below are what little Lauren is up to at age 3 (just for our memory, sorry if this is boring to read) :)

• Weighs 26 pounds
• Wears a 2T shirt and size 18-24 month pants or a 2T if they are leggings or pajamas
• Talks a ton but not to people she isn't around much
• Wears big girl panties, can I get a hallelujah
• Goes to "preschool" 1 day a week, on Tuesdays from 9:30-2
• Loves gymnastics and goes to a big girl gymnastics class on Mondays for an hour
• Is incredibly athletic and we have no clue where she gets that from
• Books are her absolute favorite and we read for a good 30 minutes almost every night before bed
• Sleeps in a big girl, full size bed at night
• She will sometimes come downstairs, by herself, around 2am to get in bed with mommy and daddy but other mornings, she won't come downstairs until 8:30am
• If she does come down around 2am, we think she's sleep walking. It's wild.
• She loves her friends. She talks about them all the time.
• Lastly, she is excited to be a big sister....less than 4 weeks to go!
