Happy Birthday Beautiful Baby Girl

My sweet little Lauren,

How are you already 1?? Your daddy & I can not believe that 1 year ago, you blessed our life with your presence. The past year has easily been the best year of our lives. We have learned so much as parents and continue to learn how to be the best parents we can for our little princess.

When you came into this world, we knew that we would love you with all of our heart but we had no idea how much love could be poured out for one little person. You have, without a doubt, been the biggest blessing in our lives and we can't wait to spend the coming years with you.

I have loved staying at home with you this past year. In fact, I loved staying at home "with you" when I was pregnant. That was the greatest gift you daddy ever gave to me. He allowed me to stay at home to enjoy my pregnancy and not to worry about the stresses of work. He then told me to stay at home with you after you were born because he knew you would only be little once. We always have so much fun together. When you were a baby, we would take stroller walks at the mall so you could sleep. We would sit on the couch and watch TV, read books, play on your play mat, and chat about the day. Now that you are older, we go see your friends at baby gymnastics, you took swim lessons, and we chase you all over the house. You are making so many new friends and we have both loved having play time during the day.

• You have learned to clap and love to cheer after you eat
• Still not a fan of food. In fact, you weren't a fan of your birthday cake
• You are our little sleeper and we're so thankful
• You got 2 new top teeth the week of your birthday. You now have 4 top and 2 bottom teeth
• You love sausage that is on pizza
• You have the prettiest blonde hair that is growing rapidly it seems
• You wear a size 6 - 9 months or 9 months in most clothes
• A size 3 diaper and size 3 in shoes
• You like toys that make noise
• You took your first step on your birthday to your great grandma Rogers in Charleston. You are not walking but you did take a step alone
• You celebrated your birthday at the Hilton Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island with 20 family members
