A Little Downtown Fun

So people that know us or have been reading this blog for a while know we live in the boonies. Pretty boonies but the boonies. We live on a mountain so to get anywhere, you have to drive down the mountain. People in Colorado might laugh at us for calling our mountain a mountain but it's totally a Tennessee mountain :) It takes roughly 30 minutes to get anywhere fun, besides Wal-Mart. Wally World is 15 minutes away but we don't frequent there too often.

Downtown Chattanooga is one of the closest places for us to get to. Downtown is wonderful. There's fun things for Todd & I to do but it's also very family friendly. The carousel is one of Lauren's favorite places. She knows what the building looks like & squeals in excitement when we pull up to the parking area.

I took my little squirt on a fun little ride and she got to ride with her Daddy. After riding the horse, she wanted to sit in the little carriage for her second ride. She's so fun!

The shave ice man is back in business. Woo hoo!! He's seasonal and we were so excited to see him open. We loaded up on some icy goodness. Lauren finished hers and realized that I had some of mine left. She immediately wanted to try mine, I mean steal mine :)
We put her bathing suit on under her dress so she could play in the fountains. Downtown is so great because all of this is right together. You have the shave ice man, carousel, and fountains right there together. It's so easy to head down there for hours of fun.
This is what happens when you head downtown with Mommy, Daddy, and Connor. We wear this sweet girl out so we can have some moments of peace and quiet!

Looks awesome-and you are one lucky woman living out in the mountains! As someone who lives close to NYC, some days I dream of doing the complete opposite!!!
